      I didn’t know this – I was only aware that some antibiotics can have side effects – so I did some googling 🙂 It looks like the fluoroquinolone class of antibiotics (including ciproflaxicin, levoflaxicin) can cause nerve or heart damage, and sometimes death. But it’s very important to keep in mind that this only happens in patients who have an underlying condition (like abnormal blood vessels) – GPs and doctors should know about the side effects and will prescribe a different class of antibiotics to patients who are at risk 💊

      In general, Antibiotic Resistance (bacteria that have become resistant to these drugs) are far more dangerous than these side effects though, especially in the next few years. I’ve talked about this in other ASK questions, let me know if you want a link 🙂
