• Question: What is the most interesting thing or area in the lab?

      To me, the most interesting (and coolest – hahaha 😛 ) thing in the lab are our -80°C freezers. We use them for long-term storage of bacteria – they’re really hardy and can be recovered after being frozen down at these temperatures, even for a long time!
      Also, whenever I go and open them I always feel like a proper sciencey scientist, as they’re so cold that as soon as you open the big door, all those clouds of condensation come rolling out (as you can see at the bottom of the picture) ❄️
