• Question: What do u do in your science job ???? Do u blow stuff up with chemicals and stuff

      We think of ideas to questions we don’t know the answer to, test them out and inform people of what we found out.

      Some people use chemicals, but it’s pretty rare you blow stuff up. It’s fun, but you don’t really learn a huge amount from it!

      I spend most of my day in jeans and a t shirt. No white lab coat. No goggles. Crazy hair, yes, but that’s my own choice!

      Unlike Oliver, I’m actually a lab scientist. I’ve never blown anything up though, not on purpose anyway (my poor bacteria that I accidentally electrocuted…. ) 😛
      So I work with bacteria, and grow them in different conditions. When I do use chemicals, it’s for example to break open the bacterial cells and extract their DNA.
