I think physics in school can be quite boring. It’s just “hey, here’s some facts, super cool, righhhttt???” and then they make you write stuff for days on end about it.

I didn’t enjoy science until I realised it’s about thinking about unseen ideas and making new knowledge. Obviously that’s a little bit too hard for people of school age to do by themselves, but it doesn’t mean we can’t bring that to you. I want to bring mini experiments and things that make you think – the kind of stuff that inspired me!

I’m kind of lucky in this regard – my university do as much as we can with the money with have. We blow up marshmallows, bring along inflatable star systems, lasers and musical lights, among other things! But we want to do more stuff, get better equipment, and bring it to more people. So that’s where I would spend the money!
