Good question – the quick answer is I don’t really know. Seeing as cancer often ends up causing problems or killing people, I imagine it was probably by pathologists, or doctors trying to find out what’s wrong. Late-stage tumours are fairly obvious as you have an extra cancerous growth somewhere in your body!
