Question: is elon musk a scientist or not?

There are a lot of definitions of a scientist. By the simplest, a scientist is anyone who applies the scientific method to a problem; that is, identifying a problem, studying it, creating a hypothesis, testing it, forming a conclusion, and then sharing the results with other scientists. But, there are also people who are scientists for a living. Elon Musk, by profession, is an entrepreneur or businessman. He has also worked as an engineer, which can be like a scientist. Additionally, if he attacks problems using the scientific method, he could be called a scientist by that simple definition.
