As far as I know the best changes individual people can make to help reduce pollution is changing your diet (the meat & dairy industry is responsible for a sizeable chunk of carbon emissions – so cutting down on the amount of meat you eat, especially red meat, can really make a difference) and also your travel habits – planes, for example, are obviously a huge contribution to climate change.
Personally, I’ve been trying to change my eating habits recently and eat a lot less meat – I base what I eat loosely on a recent study on a “planetary health” diet necessary to be ethical & feed a growing population while combatting climate change – talked about in this Guardian article: https://www.theguardian.com/environment/2019/jan/16/new-plant-focused-diet-would-transform-planets-future-say-scientists
Sadly, I’ve not been doing too well on the travel front, although I do try to use public transport or cycle when possible – not always so easy in Cornwall which isn’t too well-connected!
